Welcome to our part of the Website!

The
work of every Squadron is very much a joint effort - a partnership
between Squadron Staff, Civilian Committee, Parents and the Cadets
themselves/
We all need to play our parts, albeit in
different ways – but all with the aim of making membership of the ATC
as enjoyable an experience as possible for the cadets. |
|
But where exactly does the Civilian Committee fit in?
Every Squadron must have a Civilian Committee.
A Committee must have at least
a Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. It is a voluntary group, and is
mostly made up of parents of current or ex-cadets. The Commanding
Officer of a Squadron also sits on the Committee. 2324’s
Committee meets up once every 6 weeks.
The
Committee’s role is to assist the Commanding Officer and to ensure that
the Squadron maintains direction - but, perhaps most importantly of
all, it’s there to raise money to help subsidise the work of the
Squadron for the benefit of the cadets. And obviously the more
money it can raise, the better the opportunities 2324 can offer to its
cadets.
If
you would like to make a donation, please contact 2324’s Treasurer,
Andy Sweet (using the email link [above]). And if you’re a UK
taxpayer, then please consider using the Gift Aid form (link available
[above]) which entitles 2324 to claim back the tax that you’ve already
paid on your donation – so for basic rate tax payers, 2324 will receive
an extra 28p for every £1 donated.
We’re always looking for new fundraising ideas
–
so if you have any great ideas, you have a question about the CivCom,
or even if you’d like to get involved, please contact Pam Bollen,
Chair, at pam.bollen@talk21.com
